Artist statement:

These photos are surrounded around unique-ness. I think that all of these photos include unique concepts whether it be different colored lights, makeup, and color contrasts. Every single one of these photos were based off of unique images that have caught my eye and piqued my artistic interest throughout my high school and college years. Some parameters that I set for myself in choosing famous portraits were to choose photos that I felt like I could get close to the original photo without losing a sense of my own artistic influence. Additionally, I tried to choose photos that included a range of colors within the overall compositions.

For all four photos, I had to use some sort of lighting equipment and prop.
